Bequall Strengthens Leadership Team with Strategic COO Appointment
Bequall, a pioneering force in volumetric building manufacturing and development, proudly announces the appointment of Glenn W. E. Ford as its Chief Operating Officer (COO). This strategic leadership addition reinforces Bequall’s commitment to innovation, operational efficiency, and scaling modular construction at speed.
Addressing the Industry’s Biggest Challenges
With traditional construction costs rising, timelines extending, and labor shortages persisting, developers, general contractors and investors seek a more predictable, scalable approach to housing production. Bequall bridges the gap between developers and modular factories, eliminating inefficiencies and ensuring seamless execution. Ford’s expertise will be instrumental in expanding Bequall’s factory-certified network, optimizing supply chains, and accelerating modular adoption across geographies.
A Proven Leader in Advanced Manufacturing
Bringing over 35 years of experience in corporate operational excellence and scaling high-growth organizations, Ford’s leadership spans multiple industries, from aerospace and defense contracting to modular housing manufacturing. He previously led West Coast operations, overseeing one of North America’s most extensive volumetric modular manufacturing facilities at 588,000 square feet. His extensive background includes leadership roles at ICON Aircraft, Volumetric Building Companies (VBC), Pratt & Whitney, Sikorsky Aircraft, and key suppliers to GE and Boeing.
Ford’s deep expertise in lean manufacturing, value engineering, and global logistics will be pivotal in helping Bequall drive modular adoption at scale.
Strategic Vision for Scaling Modular Development
Jack Saba, Co-CEO of Bequall, emphasized the significance of Ford’s appointment:
“Scaling housing using volumetric modular isn’t just about adding factory capacity—it’s about creating value across the entire value stream. Glenn’s expertise enhances Bequall’s ability to develop a more scalable approach for developers while improving factory partnerships and efficiency.”
Ford will focus on streamlining procurement, strengthening manufacturing relationships, and ensuring superior quality control in his new role. His leadership will also reinforce Bequall’s position as a trusted advocate for developer, general contractor, and investor clients looking to execute modular strategies with precision and reliability.
“There’s a lot of work to be done in a complex stakeholder ecosystem, but I believe we are well positioned to make a difference and help build more housing, faster,” said Ford. “Bequall’s pioneering approach and unwavering commitment to quality resonate deeply with me. I look forward to working with this talented team to drive innovation and operational mastery.”
A Unique Approach in the Industry
Unlike traditional modular companies, Bequall does not own or operate factories. Instead, it acts as an Owner’s Representative, guiding clients through the modular process. This approach removes the steep learning curves, high-risk pitfalls, and friction that often deter general contractors, investors and developers from modular adoption.
Scott Bailey, Co-CEO of Bequall, highlighted Ford’s critical role in strengthening Bequall’s team and execution model:
“Glenn is an exceptional leader whose depth of manufacturing experience and applied tactical factory management will be invaluable. He uniquely understands the factory side of the equation, making him the ideal advocate for developers looking to integrate modular at scale. His leadership will help us refine factory selection, optimize design for manufacturing and assembly (DfMA), and streamline project coordination.”
Setting the Benchmark for Modular Excellence
Modular manufacturing continues to gain momentum in urban infill, workforce housing, hospitality, and multifamily development. Bequall is positioning itself as the industry’s strategic partner for investors, general contractors, and developers, seeking to lower the barriers to entry for volumetric modular projects and accelerate adoption across the industry.
